Lamination is used in the industry to reduce costs, it involves glueing pieces of wood together, in places like back leg at the angle or the top rail. We have seen examples of wood delaminating over time and avoid it on our own bench designs.\u003c\/span\u003e\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eThe main mortise and tenon joints are manufactured so that when the dowel is driven into place, the joint is pulled tight.
