This service is the fixing of anchors to the bench and the anchors into the concrete. We first use a Scope to check for electrical cable underground. We fix anchor brackets to the bench leg, drill 20mm holes into the concrete, insert rawbolts into concrete, insert bolts through bracket hole into rawbolt, tighten, attach protective caps. The anchors can be fitted on the inside or outside of the leg, fitting on the inside is more time consuming so we charge more. Please choose how you want your anchors fixed.
The service includes either 2 or 4 anchors to concrete depending on your selection above and is in addition to the delivery charge. If you select 2 anchors, the brackets will be fitted on opposing corners. If you select 4 anchors, all 4 legs of the bench will be fixed to the ground.

Installing your bench on a concrete base is more expensive that fixing to grass but the bench will last longer maintenance around the bench will be easier.
A properly constructed concrete base should be at least 100mm longer each end of the bench and be a minimum of 1000mm front to back and 100mm thick - we do NOT lay this concrete slab for you, you need to arrange this yourself before we come to install the bench. Please make sure the concrete is level. The bench will only be level if the base is level.
Whilst we make every effort to avoid hitting electricity cables (we use a Scope electical cable avoidance tool), please note it is the customer’s responsibility to alert us of their presence. No liability for any damage is accepted or implied as some cables are difficult to detect. We cannot take responsibility for any damage to services (gas, electricity, fibre/telephone cables, water). We cannot undertake works on the Highway or Pavement.
It is your responsibility to get get the landowners written permission for the bench to be installed.
The installation charge is non refundable if the installation fitter arrives on site on the agreed date but is unable to carry out the installation because the surface is not level, the site is locked, there are cables/pipes in the ground and there is no other suitable location or for any other reasons beyond our control.
You will be asked to provide photos, a location drawing and sign out installation agreement before work is carried out.
