Features/Benefits
The "High Back" bench is new design from Alexander Rose. This is a heavyweight bench at 35kg with good sized sections of Mahogany wood giving strength and durability.

It has a deep seat, the slats run side to side in the traditional manner. The seat is dished for comfort.

It has a high back, the back slats are shaped for comfort, the top rail is straight.

The arms are flat on the top surface but are shaped when viewed from above.

The bench is made of FSC certified Mahogany wood providing you with a long lasting, stable, strong bench sourced from responsibly managed forests.

The High Back doesn't have any wood lamination. Each component is cut from a single piece of wood, so you don't have any worries about a glue lamination joint opening up over time.

The main bench assemblies are fixed with flat head hex/allen furniture connector screws. Shallow mortise and tenon joints used on the front seat rail to locate correct connection and stop twisting.

When you receive the bench, it will be fully assembled.

Wood
With its distinctive, reddish-brown tone, the High Back will look instantly at home in Great Britain. Left in its natural state, it ages beautifully to a delicate silver grey. If you decide to treat it, the colour will deepen to a warm, dark red.

Engraving
This bench can accommodate 2 lines of engraving on the top rail. The maximum number of carved letters is 55 characters per line (including spaces).

The V carved letters are typically 0.3inch/8mm  deep, depending on the font type and size. This depth of carving takes a lot of machining time but the result is an inscription which is crisp, clear and readable

Choose how many lines of engraving you require, then type the inscription above the "Add to cart" button. Finally, select your font type from the drop down list and add it to cart. 

We offer free design proof, please choose this option if you require one. 

We aim to make the letters as large as possible, so keeping the number of letters short will result in an inscription with more impact.

You can further personalise your bench by adding the following:
